Meaning of Raya (Entry 20)

     Hi readers..

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims. Hari Raya literally means “celebration day”, and Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the day that marks the end of Ramadan. Hari Raya Aidilfitri sees families and friends seeking forgiveness from each other, visiting relatives and friends to feast traditional Malay delicacies like ketupat, rendang, satay, lemang and so on. In Malaysia, children are given token sums of money from their parents or elders. The Ramadan period has communal aspects to it with many of the basic values of the Muslim community, such as empathy for the poor, charity, worship, steadfastness and patience being expressed more during this period.

During Ramadan, decorations of houses, oil lamps and colourful lights decorate big malls like Mid Valley, One Utama, Pavilion, Sunway Pyramid and the Curve. Little shops also are decorated in the lead-up.
Across the country, the Ramadan month provides great food choices for those who like to sample authentic Malay cuisines. Ramadan bazaars are set up across various neighbourhoods with a huge selection of food stalls lining the streets.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a joyous celebration that involves happy feasting in homes everywhere where family members greet one another with Selamat Hari Raya.

So, here I want to say Selamat Hari Raya to all Muslims, especially to my readers.. Enjoys your Raya..

Weeding Ceremony (Entry 19)

Hi readers. Today I want to story about my experience being groom’s entourage.

During raya, my family and I went to visit my aunt’s house. Suddenly, my aunty want we join her being groom’s entourage who is does not have any relationship with my family. Mom of the groom was a nanny to my aunt’s daughter when she was child.

At 1.30pm, we went to the house of the bride, but the bride is not ready yet. So we waited the bride next to her house. About 3 hours we had to wait for the bride get ready.

At 4.30pm, we walked behind the groom with a group of kompang. At the gate of the bride, we were not allowed to come in if we do not pay the toll. In fact, the groom already knows about the toll.

After that, about 10 minutes we were waiting for the groom paid the toll. Apparently, he did not know how to pay the toll. So, my hero helped him paid the toll, there exists a bargain.

Then, thank to God because we are allowed in. Suddenly, in front of door of the house, there is a group of girls not let us in and asked us paid the toll again. So, we paid again.

We thought there were no more tolls. So we went with a feeling of relief. Turns out there was a group of children sitting in front of the dais bride and groom do not allow sitting next to his wife before he paid the toll. So my hero just paid to them.

Then, just 1 more toll that we must paid which is an expensive toll and that was the last toll.

I hope their relationship till forever and ever.

ok bye..

One Day Before Raya (Entry 18)

Hi readers.
To celebrate Aidilfitri, everybody was busy with all the preparations, so do with my family such as house cleaning, cooking and so on.

I woke up at 4am to help my mom prepared food for our family. However, in that morning we just ate Maggie, no rice. But it’s ok, we not taking it seriously because of we are not so picky in food.

At 10am, we were going to my grandma’s house to give a hand on cooking for Aidilfitri.
Since I’m not very good at cooking, so I just helped what I can.

At the night, I was a babysitter to my little cousin, where I have to take care of them when they play fireworks. I love to do this job because I love kids.

ok bye.

Home Sweet Home (Entry 17)

     Hi readers..

I’m very happy because I’m going to go back home for ‘Raya’ even I have classes today. Waaaaaaahh! I cannot wait anymore. Early in the morning, I had set my mind that I cannot focus on my study today because I want to go back home! In addition, many lecturers also doing the same thing like me. They skip their classes and let the students out from lecture hall before the end of time. I’m going back home with a bus. I back home with two of my friends which are Zamirah and Syukri. Zamirah is one of my closet friends in secondary school while Syukri is my classmate.

Before the students going out from matric, they need to scan their matric’s card first. While Zamirah and I wait to scan the matric’s card, we see a lot of buses outside of the KMPh.

About 4 hours we were in the bus, finally we reach at Shah Alam, Selangor safely. The 4 hour journey really makes me extremely exhausted. Then, I’m asking my mother to pick up me in front of Shell which is near to the bus stop.

Finally, home sweet home. I’m back! WAAAAhhh! I’m felling so glad and I miss my house, my bedroom and the important most thing is that I really miss a lot is my great mom. Today, I will break my fasting with all my lovely family except my father.

There are lots of stories when I’m studying at Matriculation and I’m sharing it with all my family members. I really appreciated this time because I really love them so much even I always bring those lots of problems. Mum and dad, I’m really grateful because you always patient with my attitude. You are the best mom and dad forever and I really love you.

     Ok bye..

Speaking Test (Entry 16)

     Hi readers..

Today is my first time doing a speaking test for MUET. That’s a lot of feelings when I started the test, when sir Izzie said “candidates, you have given 2 minutes to prepare you points”. I had been study MUET for a weeks but I’m still cannot remember all the points and don’t know how to elaborate the points. I’m so disappointed to myself. Before I change to another group, my group members are Zamer, Ariff and firdaus but I really hope that Sir Izzie can give me opportunity to change to another girls group. This is because I’ll be speechless if all members group are men. Alhamdulillah, i’ve got enter the girls group. My new members group are Hajar, Huda and Sakinah. I’m so happy because at last I can change to another group.

For task A, I have the points but I do not know how to elaborate it. So I just said the points only.

For the task B, I have the points that I want to argue it but I do not know how to translate it into English, so I’m cannot be talkative but I’m praise to god because of our group can make Mr Izzie laugh.

Ok bye ...

Breaking Fast (Entry 15)

     Hi readers..

Today, I’m breaking fast with my matriculation’s classmate. There are Sha, Farah, Effa, Erin, Hajar, Putri, Aina, Amu and the only one man who just comes is Zamer, my class monitor. We decided to meet at cafeteria A at 7pm. I had booked two long tables for our sit. While waiting for azan Maghreb, we filled the time with talking about new gossip which is who is the most handsome boy in Pahang matriculation and so on.  When we talked about something funniest, we were laughing together.  I think we were the noisiest in that cafe. In time, we also took some pictures for our memories. I love taking pictures. We were posing and did some faces when taking pictures.

Now were the time to we break our fasting. I’m so hungry and my stomach had sung the matriculation song. Haha.. Effa and Farah ate Nasi Lemak while Sha and I just ate Popia and Curry Puff.

Now I’m full. Alhamdulillah.. so, lets take some pictures.

     Ok that’s all. Bye..

Jalan TAR (Entry 14)

Today I want to share to all my readers about my experience shopping at Jalan TAR for this year. That a lot of peoples like a million ants out of the nest. My goal to go there is to find my new baju kurung for the Aidilfitri but I didn’t find what I wished for. This is because all the baju kurung are not my cup of tea and do not follow the budget who was set by my dad. My dad only set a budget RM150 per his daughter. I had found a beautiful modern baju kurung, but the colour did not match with my family theme for this year. We went to SESERI about 11am to pick up my sister, then we straight to Jalan TAR to find my baju kurung and my sister’s. Almost half a day we walked there but I didn’t found any baju kurung that match with my taste. My dad told me that I just waste they time, i felt so sad but I just keep quiet because I admit that it was my fault.

     Ok bye..
